Home of John GarnerClassical, jazz or electronic music: London-based violinist John Garner is equally at home.

Over the past few years, John has performed in celebrated venues including London’s Wigmore Hall, Birmingham’s Symphony Hall, the  Konzerthaus Berlin, the Synagogue of Novi Sad and Shepherd’s Bush Empire. John pursues numerous avenues in his music-making, as a member of groups such as the Hot Club Ensemble, orchestral-electronica collective Polaroid 85, and the Park Quartet.

After several years spent with the famous Russian virtuoso Rimma Sushanskaya, last student and protégée of the legendary David Oistrakh, John is now in his final year at the Royal College of Music, studying classical violin with Mark Messenger and Daniel Rowland and jazz with Chris Garrick and Mark Armstrong.

Amongst John’s most memorable performances are Elgar’s Piano Quintet in Wigmore Hall, Bach’s Concerto for two violins with Pierre Amoyal in Serbia and Bosnia, Gaibudulina’s Impromptu with Dóra Varga in the Konzerthaus Berlin, and Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto in Symphony Hall alongside a newly-choreographed ballet. Also active in the production of electronic music, John has two cross-genre albums to his name and over half a million hits on youtube.
