John regularly appears in concerts (often in aid of charities), private functions and festivals all over the country and abroad.

His repertoire is extremely varied; as well as performing as a soloist in the classical arena, he has enjoyed playing with the West Midlands Light Orchestra which supports a variety of good causes through money raised at its concerts.

  • 08/03/2012 – 13:05 – Lunchtime Recital, Recital Hall, Royal College of Music. Programme to include Poulenc’s violin sonata, Michael Foyle. Claude Bolling’s Suite for violin & jazz trio, John Garner (violin), James Kenny (double bass), Oli Patrick (kit), piano to be confirmed.
  • 19/04/2012 – British-EU Societies Diamond Jubilee Concert, Britten Theatre, Royal College of Music. Featuring the Park Quartet.

  • 22/10/2010 – 20:00 – St. James Theatre, St. Peter Port, Guernsey. Les Chansonelles present an evening of song, performing a repertoire of light classical and popular songs with violin and cello adding a string contrast. Special guests John Garner (violin) and Genevieve Brothwood (cello)
