‘Steel Skies’ is the third release from EMANATA. From the dark hip-hop vibes of the lead single ‘Nahualism’ to the space jazz of ‘Shut Eye’, the EP is unified by its strong sense of groove, inspired by the likes of The RH Factor, Snarky Puppy and José James. Recorded live in Trinity Studio, North London, and mixed and mastered by synth player Nikola Kovacevic, ‘Steel Skies’ is a refreshing addition to the electronic jazz catalogue of the moment.
Here’s the brand new LP ‘Blue Fields’ from my jazz quartet. Featuring three incredibly talented colleagues and friends of mine, Toby Nelms (keys), Jamie Kenny (double bass) and Dan Day (kit). It was released yesterday, exactly ONE YEAR since we recorded it live at Konk Studios, London. These things take some time, but I’m very proud of the final product. Brought to sonic life by Josh Green and accompanied by beautiful album artwork by Jason Ebel, please stream it, download it, share it and enjoy it!
Part 2 of Mainly Two‘s sophomore release went out yesterday. It features the more contemporary works of the first Mainly Two repertoire. Stream/download below and enjoy some far-out sounds from some brilliant minds, performed by myself and Marie Schreer. Huge thanks once again to all involved in the project, to name but a few: all the composers (you are wonderful musicians and people to work with); genius recording engineer Josh Green; Michael Goodson for his stunning design.
